"Chuck" Presents at WonderCon

According to WonderCon's Twitter page, many of "Chuck"'s cast and crew will be holding a presentation at this year's WonderCon in San Francisco this April.

Chances are good there will be discussion about Brandon's love-to-hate/hate-to-love role as Agent Shaw.

I should be attending and will update folks on any Brandon news on my Twitter page.

Nolan Spearheading "Superman"

It turns out the rumor about Batman director Chris Nolan overseeing a Superman reboot are true. Nolan spoke with the LA Times about his general plans for a new Superman franchise.

“A lot of people have approached Superman in a lot of different ways. I only know the way that has worked for us that’s what I know how to do,” Nolan said, emphasizing the idea that Batman exists in a world where he is the only superhero and a similar approach to the Man of Steel would assure the integrity needed for the film.

What does this mean for Brandon returning as Superman? Only time will tell.

Another big Superman rumor has hit the 'net, this time regarding who will potentially write the script. Rumor has it that David Goyer ("Batman Begin") might pen the next Superman installment allegedly titled "Man of Steel" that may star another actor as Superman.

NBC has released the official synopsis for the 8th episode of "Chuck" which airs after the Winter Olympics on March 1st at 8pm on NBC.

CHUCK GOES UNDERCOVER AS THE WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS ASSASSIN— KRISTIN KREUK (”SMALLVILLE”) AND BRANDON ROUTH (”SUPERMAN RETURNS”) GUEST STAR—Chuck (Zachary Levi) promises to cook dinner for Hannah (guest star Kristin Kreuk), Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) and Awesome (Ryan McPartlin) but must first assume the identity of the world’s most dangerous assassin for his latest mission. Meanwhile, Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) is determined to keep her relationship with Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh) strictly professional. EW's Ask Ausiello treated us to several "Chuck" spoilers, one of them being Brandon Routh's stint as CIA Agent Daniel Shaw has been extended for an unnamed number of episodes. Expect to see Brandon in more than 8 episodes of this season's "Chuck." Good news, Brandon/Shaw fans!

Question: I absolutely love Kristin Kreuk as Hannah on Chuck. Any idea how many more episodes she will be in this season?
Ausiello: Just one. Schwartz and Fedak confirmed that Kreuk’s arc will conclude on March 1. Meanwhile, Brandon Routh’s stay has been extended yet again, although Team um… Schwedak (?) wouldn’t provide an updated episode count.

Updated 2/18: DC Entertainment president debunks this rumor.

The internet is in a frenzy over a rumor at Deadline Hollywood regarding director Chris Nolan ("Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight") allegedly over-seeing a Superman franchise reboot.

Warner Bros is trying to ready its DC Comics stalwart Superman to soar again on the Big Screen, and the studio has turned to Chris Nolan to mentor development of the movie. Our insiders say that the brains behind rebooted Batman has been asked to play a "godfather" role and ensure The Man Of Steel gets off the ground after a 3 1/2-year hiatus. Nolan's leadership of the project can set it in the right direction with the critics and the fans, not to mention at the box office.

Brandon appears in the 7th episode of "Chuck" tonight at 8 on NBC titled "Chuck vs. The Mask."

CHUCK MUST PROTECT HANNAH WHEN THEY FIND THEMSELVES PARTNERS ON A MISSION - Chuck and Hannah unexpectedly become part of agent Daniel Shaws latest mission. Much to Sarahs chagrin, she gets paired with Shaw, who seems to be trying to get close to her. Meanwhile, Morgan and Ellie continue their mission to get to the bottom of Chucks secretive and strange behavior. Adam Baldwin also stars.

This will be the last episode of "Chuck" to air this month due to Winter Olympics coverage on NBC. "Chuck" returns March 1 with episode 8: "Chuck vs. The Fake Name."

New "Dead of Night" Blog

Dan Forcey over at the official "Dead of Night" blog has put up a new blog post about the status of the film. He's also attached a high-res image from the set of the movie.

There are still a few shots to polish by the good folks at Prana (our VFX partners on the film), but we should be starting the PR machine in motion while those finishing touches are put in place.

Entertainment Weekly's Mike Ausiello has some news about Brandon and Courtney on tv.

Apparently, Brandon has a shirtless scene on the March 1st episode of "Chuck."

It’s a really big deal for me. I worked out like crazy for Superman Returns, but stayed behind the leotard most of the time so you never knew just how in shape I had gotten. Then I took some time off and let my body go a little. So when I heard this shirtless scene was coming up, I worked hard to have something good to show people.

And, Courtney will be appearing in an upcoming episode of "Grey's Anatomy!" She was recently seen in the most recent season of Showtime's "Dexter."

The third season premiere of spy comedy Chuck airs this Sunday at 9PM on NBC. Brandon is set to appear in eight episodes of the show, starting with episode four - the following is a synopsis for his first episode appearance January 18th.

TO SAVE AWESOME FROM THE RING, CHUCK MUST TEACH HIM HOW TO BE A REAL SPY-ANGIE HARMON (”LAW & ORDER”) AND BRANDON ROUTH (”SUPERMAN RETURNS”) GUEST STAR-When Awesome (Ryan McPartlin) is mistaken for a super spy by the evil Sydney Price (guest star Angie Harmon), Chuck (Zachary Levi) must become his handler and show him the spy ropes. While on a mission for The Ring, they meet the mysterious Daniel Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh). Meanwhile, Morgan (Joshua Gomez) gets promoted to assistant manager and must deal with Jeff (Scott Krinsky) and Lester’s (Vik Sahay) latest hijinks.
